SEO Manager

Reporting to the Head of SEO, the SEO Manager will be accountable for the execution of on-page and off-page SEO strategies across multiple brands.

 

  • Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 plus a discretionary 10% bonus
  • Location: London Liverpool Street
  • Working Model: 3 Days In Office, 2 Days WFH
About the Role

The SEO Manager is a key player in driving the success of search engine optimization strategies for a diverse range of brands. This role demands a strong foundation in SEO principles, with a particular emphasis on technical SEO and content optimization. The individual will implement and manage SEO campaigns, ensure alignment with brand objectives, and deliver measurable results. You’ll work with the Head of Organic Marketing to execute the SEO strategy to drive traffic, conversions, and ROI.

Key responsibilities include conducting thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, and content audits. The role also encompasses the development and execution of on-site content, site updates, and management of freelance teams. The SEO Manager will closely collaborate with team members across departments, ensuring SEO strategies are integrated with overall marketing goals.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and creative, enjoy problem-solving, and be comfortable multitasking and working across multiple brands. Experience is a critical component of this role. Candidates are expected to have a solid background in SEO and digital marketing, with a proven track record of managing successful SEO campaigns. Familiarity with SEO tools and platforms like Google Analytics is essential. The role also calls for strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

 

Role Responsibilities
  • Execute comprehensive SEO strategies for multiple brands to enhance the company’s online visibility. This includes keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, and technical SEO tactics.
  • Conduct regular audits of the company’s website to ensure optimal performance. Implement changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Collaborate with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content. Guide the creation of high-quality, relevant content that aligns with SEO strategies and enhances user engagement.
  • Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends and changes in search engine algorithms. Regularly update SEO strategies to ensure continued effectiveness.
  • Regularly analyse competitors’ SEO strategies and performance. Use insights gained to inform and enhance the company’s own SEO efforts.
  • Utilise tools like Google Analytics to monitor and analyse website traffic and rankings. Prepare regular reports on SEO performance, providing insights and recommendations for further improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in an SEO or content-marketing-focused role. Agency experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of technical and content SEO, including execution, and analysis.
  • Experience in local SEO campaigns
  • Hands on experience with industry leading SEO tools
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to write to a high standard
  • Experience with analytical tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Basic familiarity and experience in creating and editing HTML, CSS for the purpose of adding and editing client content through website applications like WordPress and various page builders.
